On 10th February 2011 in Brussels, Assonime, Kreab Gavin Anderson and Bank of America Merrill Lynch hosted the European Financial Services Conference, for the ninth consecutive year. The conference was a great success and on behalf of the hosts, thank you to all who participated.

The 9th Annual European Financial Services Conference - Taking Stock of Reform: Fragmentation or Convergence? - focused on the reform of the financial services sector since the crisis of 2008, at both an EU and a global level.

With a Keynote Presentation from Commissioner Barnier, the event saw more than 400 senior bankers and policy-makers from around the world gather to debate the issues affecting European and global financial markets.

Sessions focused on:

• Has Europe’s financial sector now put its house in order?

• Assessing the EU’s re-regulation effort

• Charting progress towards a new global rulebook.
