More information
The European Financial Services industry is facing a period of unprecedented change. Work on the development of the Capital Markets Union (CMU) continues, whilst at the same time crucial reforms and reviews are being finalised within the areas of banking, securities markets and investment. Add this to the continued uncertainties created by Brexit, and financial institutions everywhere have a lot of preparation and strategic thinking to do as a new political and regulatory landscape begins to emerge.
This year’s conference focussed on all these issues and more, looking at the path forward and the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead as work continues towards the development of a full EU financial Single Market.
Sessions at the event included representatives from all the key stakeholder groups, and focussed on:
- The CMU scorecard so far;
- The importance of trust and confidence in capital markets;
- The EU27 and Brexit - Contingency planning and fresh opportunities
