Achieving a fully integrated single market in Europe for intellectual property is key to fostering creativity and supporting rights owners, while at the same time helping to drive growth and jobs. On the 16th October, Forum Europe and IFRRO organised a roundtable debate titled Sharing Knowledge and Access to Intellectual Property in the Internet Age.

Taking place against the backdrop of a very busy period for policymakers and stakeholders in the IP field, this discussion-based event explored the current state of play with regards copyright and IP online in Europe, and also considered international dimensions and governance. This debate took place in the context of single market month and was moderated by Kevin Fitzgerald, Chief Executive of the Copyright Licensing Agency in the UK.
