Workshop 2 - Live Simulation of a Spectrum Auction
Coordinated with Specure by Alladin IT, the post-conference workshop will follow on from the theoretical issues relating to spectrum auction discussed in workshop 1, and provide delegates with an opportunity to now put this into practice by taking part in auction scenarios as representatives of a telecommunications operator.
Participants will compete with each other, which will provide insight into the philosophy, strategy and specifics of both SMRA and CCA auction formats.
Workshop Description
Following on from the theory discussed in Workshop 1, this workshop will deliver a practical demonstration on auction strategy and an opportunity to get in touch with the topic on a less theoretical basis.
After an initial recap and theoretical introduction regarding the differences in the auction formats and transparency levels, the workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to participate in a live auction simulation using Specure software. Each bidder will be implementing his company’s strategy for a frequency auction. The participants will get a chance to directly experience the differences in SMRA and CCA as outcomes can possibly be different even when following the same strategic objective.
