Plenary Panel Session
For both Europe and the USA, the TTIP presents a range of opportunities and challenges. Both the process and its eventual shape will have implications for trade not only in the respective regions, but globally, with some suggesting that TTIP could provide the basis for a new global rule book for trade, potentially kick starting future WTO negotiations.
This opening plenary session will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to debate the strategic and political dimensions of the TTIP, the impact that a successful negotiation will have on the respective economies, the anticipated outcomes for consumers and consumer protection, for workers’ rights and for both big and small businesses.
