The company was founded on two highly experienced teams; one with two decades of CO2 transportation and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) operations experience, and the other with a background in developing two of the world’s most advanced CCS projects. 2Co is the owner of the Don Valley Power Project, near Doncaster, in Yorkshire which is the UK’s most advanced CCS project. This will be a 650MW (net) IGCC plant with the CO2 to be used for EOR and permanent storage in North Sea oil fields, and it plans to be in operation by the end of 2016.
